October 8, 2024: Piers Morgan — yes, the guy who claimed he lost his job at Good Morning Britain because he refused to apologize for his comments about Meghan Markle — made public outbursts to Beyoncé and Jay-Z less than a week after his Ucesored show made allegations about them. Jaguar Wright spoke about the Carters during an appearance on the October 2 episode and discussed the allegations against Sea “Diddy” Combs. “For four years, I’ve been screaming not only Diddy, but Diddy and Jay-Z are monsters,” Wright said, before claiming that Jay-Z and Beyonce were some of the “victims.” In an Oct. 8 post, Morgay shared that the couple’s attorneys had reached out to say Wright’s allegations were “completely false and factually incorrect.” Morgay said her show will comply with her “legal request” to suppress the allegations. “The editing of interviews is not something we do lightly on a show called Uceasored .” But, like the alarm bells in the packed room, we are also subject to legal limits,” Morgan said. “And where are the exceptions next to Jay-Z and Beyonce.”
October 9, 2024: Alex Spiro, the Carters’ (and Eric Adams’, for that matter) attorney, went on TMZ Live to discuss the alleged defamation of Jaguar Wright. Spiro said that putting forward the “random rumor” not only harms the people being defamed, but also drowns out “the voices of the real victims.” Spiro called his action against Morgay a “latency” rather than a cease and desist order. “Remove this false accusation, which is clearly false, or the court will order you. I therefore believe that he made the right choice and acted accordingly.”
